2024 Water Quality Report

Cooper City is proud to release its 2024 Water Quality Report, reaffirming its commitment to delivering clean, safe and reliable drinking water to every home and business across the city. The Consumer Confidence Report outlines the city’s continued success in meeting, and exceeding, all federal, state and local water quality standards.

“Our dedicated team has worked around the clock to ensure your water meets and exceeds all regulatory standards,” said Akin Ozaydin, Utilities Director. “From the moment water enters our advanced treatment facilities to the time it flows from your tap, every step of the process is carefully managed to eliminate contaminants and deliver the highest quality water possible.”

In addition to maintaining exceptional water quality, the Cooper City Utilities Department has completed several major infrastructure upgrades throughout the year.

“In 2024, we continued our commitment to improving the water treatment system by implementing numerous capital improvement projects,” said Mayor James Curran. “These included replacing membrane filters and upgrading the chlorine disinfection system, which is essential for removing a wide range of pathogens from drinking water.”

The City also launched a water meter replacement program to improve usage accuracy and transparency for residents and lined 14,000 linear feet of sewer pipe to enhance system reliability and longevity.

“It’s been a busy year for the Utilities Department, but we are committed to ensuring our residents have access to the cleanest water possible, whenever they need it,” added Mayor Curran.

The City's water is treated using membrane softening to reduce minerals, hardness, and organic matter. It is then disinfected with chlorine, ensuring it meets the highest safety standards.

Beyond treatment, Cooper City continues its commitment to sustainability and conservation by participating in regional initiatives like the Broward Water Partnership. Residents may be eligible for a $125 rebate when purchasing a high-efficiency toilet or can receive free water-saving devices. Learn more at ConservationPays.com.
