The City currently has two parking facilities available for lease by Cooper City residents ONLY. The Lease is non transferable.

The East lot, which has 102 total spaces, is located at 9050 SW 51st Street 33328, one block South of City Hall. The West lot, located at 5800 Hiatus Road 33328, one block North of Stirling Road, has 123 total spaces.

 Frequently Asked Questions

What can I store in the RV Lot?

  • Recreational vehicles and commercial vehicles are permitted, so long as the vehicle fits within the lessee's respective space.
  • Antique vehicles and cars utilized for motorsports and related competitions are NOT permitted in the RV lot.

What is considered a recreational vehicle?

  • According to Florida Statutes, Section 320.01(1) (b), recreational vehicles are defined as units primarily designed as temporary living quarters for recreational, camping, or travel use having either its own motive power, mounted on, or drawn by another vehicle.

What is considered a commercial vehicle?

  • According to Florida Statutes, Section 320.01(26), a commercial motor vehicle is a vehicle not owned by the government, with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) OF 26,0001 pounds or more, or has three or more axles regardless of weight, or is used in combination (vehicle plus trailer) when the weight of such combination exceeds 26,001 GVW.
  • A commercial vehicle is required to be registered and is used or maintained for the transportation of persons for hire, compensation, or profit or designed, used, or maintained primarily for the transportation of property.

What are examples of a commercial vehicle?

  • Cargo vans, passenger vans, box trucks, semi-trucks, step vans, buses, motor coaches are commonly described as commercial vehicles.

You will be required to provide the following in order to lease a space in the City: 
  • A copy of your driver license and/or recent utility bill.
  • A copy of your vehicle registration.
  • A signed, bi-annual lease agreement.
  • $100 refundable deposit.

 Lease Terms


The City offers six-month lease periods.  Payment is due on or before the first day of the lease period.

 Cancellation Policy


If a lessee wishes to cancel a parking lot space, a signed and dated letter of cancellation must be submitted to Maksuda Gias. Verbal notice is not accepted.

 RV Storage Lot Affidavit - Required Information


Pursuant to # 3 in the lease agreement, the City requires that the business owner, supervisor of employee or the registered agent of the business fill out the affidavit.

3. Lessee agrees that Lessee’s Cooper City home address and the address on the registration of any vehicle in
space __ will be the same address during the term of this lease agreement and during the term of any renewal of said lease
agreement. In the event of an address change, Lessee shall provide proof of Cooper City residency and notice of the new
address to the City within 30 days of the address change. Lessee shall provide City a copy of their Driver’s License and
vehicle registration before execution of lease agreement. In the event that the address on the registration of the vehicle parked
in space __ does not match Lessee’s home address, Lessee must provide a sworn affidavit from Lessee’s employer stating
that the vehicle is issued to Lessee for purposes of employment. Without a letter from Lessee’s employer, Lessee understands
that Lessee forfeits any rental payment and the City may terminate this Lease Agreement for cause.
