A precautionary boil water notice has been lifted for six (6) affected residences located on Augusta Avenue within the Embassy Lakes community in Cooper City, following a watermain break that occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on February 4, 2024. Repairs were completed by 10 a.m. on the morning of February 4. Our Utilities team determined the break was caused by coral rock which had grown, thereby damaging the watermain pipe.
The precautionary boil water notice was lifted following two consecutive days of bacteriological testing that determined the tap water is safe to drink. The City has notified all affected residents that the precautionary boil water notice has been lifted. Residents with questions may contact Cooper City Utilities at 954-434-5519.
