Cooper City Welcomes Finance Director Aaron Kendrick

Cooper City welcomed Aaron Kendrick, our team’s Finance Director and Chief Financial Officer, in early January 2022.  Aaron brings extensive knowledge as a financial professional and Certified Public Accountant.

Prior to joining our team, Aaron served as the Senior Director of Finance for the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT), Chief Financial Official for the Clay County Utility Authority and served as CEO / CFO for “The CXO Group Inc.” where he received the coveted Jacksonville Business Journal 2021 “Ultimate Finance Executive Award” for the work he performed helping small to mid-size businesses maneuver the financial woes of starting, growing and sustaining of business during COVID. In all, Aaron brings a wealth of financial knowledge earned over a combined financial career of over 25 years to Cooper City.

Early in his career, Aaron worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Jacksonville branch.  Born and raised in the Jacksonville, Florida area, Aaron is a graduate of the University of North Florida.

Prior to carving out a career in finance, Aaron served in the United States Marine Corps for four years, followed by a stint with Lockheed Martin.  During his time in the Marine Corps and with Lockheed Martin, Aaron had the opportunity to see many parts of the world.  He has been in Japan, Korea, the Philippines, while also having lived in Holland and worked in Germany.  Aaron has also spent time in Somalia, and regards Norway as the most interesting place where he has lived.

Aaron has his travels to thank for meeting his wife, of 37 years, who he met in London.  They have a 35-year-old daughter, along with two sons who are 25 and 22.  When he’s not working, Aaron enjoys family time and taking part in church and social events.
