Cooper City Launches New After-Hours Utilities Emergency Contact Procedure, Starting July 7, 2025
Cooper City residents have a clearer way of reporting non-police and fire emergencies outside of normal business hours. Beginning July 7, 2025, any urgent issue, such as water main breaks, sewer backups, major water leaks, road obstructions or downed trees, occurring outside of regular business hours (8 AM - 5 PM) on weekdays, or during weekends and holidays, should be reported by calling the BSO Cooper City District at 954-435-2000. A dispatcher will ensure appropriate City personnel are alerted and dispatched.
The Utilities Department’s regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. During these hours, residents should contact the department directly at 954-434-5519 for assistance with utility-related concerns and inquiries.
This enhanced process aims to streamline the response for urgent matters and ensure that issues are routed efficiently, even when the Utilities Department office is closed.
