City of Cooper City Receives 2021 Water Fluoridation Quality Award

COOPER CITY, Fla. (July 6, 2023) — The City of Cooper City is proud to announce that it has been honored with the 2021 Water Fluoridation Quality Award presented by the Florida Department of Health, Public Health Dental Program. This prestigious recognition is jointly awarded by the American Dental Association (ADA), Association of State and Territorial Dental Directors (ASTDD), and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to states that uphold the highest standards of fluoridation quality.

The Water Fluoridation Quality Award is given annually by the CDC to water systems that consistently monitor and maintain optimal fluoride levels for 12 consecutive months. The Cooper City Water Plant has successfully maintained this level of quality through its community water fluoridation program, ensuring that the citizens of Cooper City continue to benefit from this safe and effective preventive health measure.
