CELEBRATE ‘WHERE YOU BELONG’ WITH
COOPER CITY’S PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT
Month-long celebration highlights the impact of parks and recreation.

 

Join Cooper City’s Parks and Recreation Department this July to commemorate National Park and Recreation Month. Let's celebrate how our city thrives, becomes more vibrant, and gains resilience thanks to parks and recreation.

A variety of activities are planned in July for residents of all ages and abilities — including:

  •        Movie Day: Something to Stand For with Mike Rowe (July 1, 2024)
  •        Special Feature Matinee: American Graffiti (July 2, 2024)
  •        Christmas in July: Ceramics (July 8 and July 22, 2024)
  •        Fraud Awareness Presentation (July 11, 2024)
  •        "Broadway Through the Years Two" (July 13, 2024)
  •        Summer Jam Session (July 18, 2024)
  •        🎆 Red, White and Blue Luncheon (July 26): Celebrate summer with an All American BBQ Luncheon.🎆

Park and Recreation Month is an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), where communities like ours share their experiences, memories and stories about what parks and recreation mean to them. This year’s theme — “Where You Belong” — highlights the many ways park and recreation professionals across the country foster a sense of belonging in their community.

Cooper City encourages everyone who supports parks and recreation to share how it has fostered belonging, as well as why their local park and recreation professionals are important to them, on social media with #WhereYouBelong #CooperCity.
