Notice of Temporary Road Closure in Cooper Village

Our Utilities Department, in conjunction with a contractor, will start a mainline sewer repair on Monday, October 10, 2022, within the Cooper Village community. This repair will require a temporary closure of SW 51st Street, between SW 101st Terrace and SW 103rd Avenue.

The repair and street closure are expected to run through Friday, October 14, 2022. Our Utilities Department is notifying all residents in the immediate area. During the work, the contractor will make sure that all residents have access to a roadway to enter and exit the community.

Our Utilities Department determined a road closure would be necessary due to the extent of the work and to ensure our residents' safety. The contractor will be digging a hole, approximately 15 feet below the surface, to make a repair that will prevent any potential blockages, and any other potential disruptions of service, in the wastewater system.
