Fields Close at Sports Complexes for Annual Maintenance

Our Public Works Department has started annual maintenance at our sports complexes in preparation for the upcoming recreational seasons.

All fields at Bill Lips Sports Complex will be closed for overseeding starting Tuesday, December 20, 2022 and will reopen on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

Fields A, B, and C at Suellen H. Fardelmann Sports Complex will be closed for overseeding starting Tuesday, December 20, 2022 and reopen on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

Our Public Works crews conduct overseeding each year by planting grass seed directly into existing turf, without tearing up the turf, or the soil. This method is used to fill in bare spots, improve the density of turf, and improve the lawn's color.
