Monitoring Tropical Storm Nicole: Public Advisory #2

Tuesday, November 8, 2022 | 7:45 PM

The City of Cooper City has been taking precautionary measures throughout the day in preparation for the potential impacts of Tropical Storm Nicole.

Although Broward County remains outside the "cone" of Nicole's projected path, a Tropical Storm Warning and Hurricane Watch remain in effect. Coastal Broward County is under a Storm Surge Watch.

Nicole is forecast to be a Category 1 hurricane when it approaches Florida's east coast Wednesday night. Rainfall leading to flooding is possible across Broward County on Wednesday and Thursday. As we saw with Hurricane Ian, tropical systems also bring the threat of isolated tornadoes. Please stay alert, stay safe, and pay attention to any emergency notifications you receive.

Please sign up for Alert Cooper City to help keep you informed about the storm and City operations.
