A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for six (6) residences located on Augusta Avenue within the Embassy Lakes community in Cooper City, due to a watermain break. All repairs have been completed. Our Utilities team has determined the break was caused by coral rock which had grown thereby damaging the watermain pipe.

The precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until drinking water test results pass for two consecutive days.  The City will notify affected residents when the Precautionary Boil Water Notice has been lifted. The affected residents are advised to boil all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. Bottled water may be used as an alternative. Water may be used for bathing, lawn irrigation and other non-consumptive uses during this precautionary 48-hour period. Residents with questions may contact Cooper City Utilities at 954-434-5519.
