The City of Cooper City is committed to providing safe, clean water to its residents. Florida Administrative Code mandates the issuance of a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory under certain operating conditions.

Based on the requirements of the Florida Administrative Code, the City of Cooper City has issued a Precautionary Boil Water Notice for nine homes along SW 48 Street, to the west of SW 118 Avenue, due to a watermain break that took place in the late hours of January 17, 2025. This advisory has been issued due to water service being interrupted, and water pressure dropping below 20 PSI, within the affected service area.

The addresses affected by this advisory are as follows:

  • 11800 SW 48 Street
  • 11802 SW 48 Street
  • 11804 SW 48 Street
  • 11806 SW 48 Street
  • 11808 SW 48 Street
  • 11900 SW 48 Street
  • 11902 SW 48 Street
  • 11904 SW 48 Street
  • 11906 SW 48 Street

We advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes at the affected location must be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.

This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect for a minimum of 48 hours, until the bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. We will notify businesses of the cancellation (rescission) of this advisory.
