2023 Water Matters Day
The 21st Annual Water Matters Day is scheduled for Saturday, March 11, 2023 and will return to Tree Tops Park in Davie for an in-person event. There will be interactive educational displays and booths, tree giveaway for Broward residents, food trucks, children’s activities and more. More than 40 educational exhibits and booths will be on display to help residents learn about water conservation techniques, smart irrigation, native landscaping, and what role they play in protecting and conserving our water supplies.
In addition to learning how to save water and money, Broward County residents will be able to select up to two (2) trees/shrubs per household, with a maximum of one (1) fruit tree per household. To be eligible, Broward County residents will need to visit at least 10 of the event's booths.
Check back for the detailed list of available trees and shrubs. Supplies are limited so please have a few backup choices in mind.
This year, the event will feature seminars from UF/IFAS Citrus Research and Education Center on disease tolerant citrus. A limited number of Sugar Belle® mandarin trees will be available to seminar attendees.
