2023 Founder's Day

March 11, 2023, Founder's Day Run/Parade - Expect Periodic Road Closures from 7 AM - 12 PM on SW 90th Avenue

Parking will be available at the Community Center, Cooper City Elementary and the American Legion.

A full day of fun is on the horizon, as we celebrate our City's 64th annual Founder's Day on Saturday, March 11, 2023!  Events and activities will take place throughout the day. 

Individuals, groups, and organizations wishing to participate in Founder's Day Parade & Festivities through parade entries, sponsorships, and/or booths can complete a registration packet(s).  Links to download each form are at the bottom of this page.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

MORNING

  • 8:30 AM - One-Mile Fun Run/Walk at Cooper City High School, 9401 Stirling Road
  • 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM - Pancake Breakfast at the Community Center, 9000 SW 50 Place (Sponsored by Boy Scout Troop #118) *Ticket sales at the door 
  • 10:30 AM - Founder's Day Parade: Fun in the Sun. Parade travels south one mile along Morris Cooper Avenue (SW 90th Ave.) from the Community Center to Cooper City High School

AFTERNOON

*All afternoon events will take place at Brian Piccolo County Park located at 9501 Sheridan Street

(Weekend gate entrance fee is $1.50 per person for ages 6 and up) 

  • 2:00 PM - 8:30 PM - Food Trucks/Vendors
  • 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM - DJ/Performances - Aloha Islanders Fire Dance
  • 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Business Expo 
  • 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Youth Activities
  • 4:00 PM - 8:30 PM - BSO Police & Fire Expo
  • 5:00 PM - BSO K-9 Demonstration *Subject to availability 
  • 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM - Concert in the Park "The James Jeffrey Harris Gang" - Bring chairs and blankets
  • 7:00 PM - Parade Float Winner is Announced
  • 8:30 PM - Fireworks Begin!
