City of Cooper City Announces Sidewalk Connection Improvements Project Has Begun

The City of Cooper City's Utilities Department is overseeing a sidewalk connection improvement project, which began at the Timberlake neighborhood, and will extend between Pine Island Road and Palm Avenue. This initiative aims to improve pedestrian access for better accessibility throughout our community.

The project will include the construction of new sidewalk connections, as well as the installation of curb ramps, ensuring safe, accessible pathways for all residents. This work is a vital part of the City’s ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and promote accessibility for all pedestrians.

As construction progresses, residents and commuters may notice temporary lane closures, construction noise and the presence of heavy equipment in the area. Access to certain walkways may also be briefly restricted during specific phases of the project.

Please note, if work related to this sidewalk improvement project is conducted along your property, please be aware that a City contractor will be repairing any damaged irrigation lines resulting from this work.

We truly appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as we work on these important improvements. For additional information, or if you have questions or concerns, please contact Junias Aldajuste, Engineer II for the City’s Utilities Department, at (954) 434-4300, Ext. 113, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
