Upcoming Closure on Westbound Stirling Road Due to Manhole Repair
Cooper City's Utilities Department will be overseeing a manhole repair at the intersection of Stirling Road and Hiatus Road. The project will be conducted in two phases, requiring lane closures along the westbound lanes of Stirling Road on December 17 through December 23, 2024.
The first phase, where the manhole will be repaired, will require crews to reduce westbound traffic to one lane along Stirling Road on the approach to Hiatus Road. This phase is expected to last from December 17 through December 18. Commuters should expect delays and seek an alternate route, if possible.
Between December 20 and December 23, crews are expected to complete the second phase of the project where the road will be reconstructed and asphalting will take place. This phase will require a full closure of the westbound lanes of Stirling Road, between SW 110 Avenue and Hiatus Road. Commuters will be warned of this closure with multiple traffic signs, including detour signs. Residents are strongly advised to plan accordingly and seek alternate routes.
The eastbound lanes of Stirling Road will never be affected during this project. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but please approach the intersection with caution while work is taking place.
