Shall the Cooper City Charter be amended to authorize the City to publish certain required legal notices on a publicly accessible website owned or designated by Broward County as an alternative to publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the City, as permitted by law?
In accordance with the Cooper City Charter, Mayor-Elect James Curran, Commissioner Ryan C. Shrouder, and Commissioner-Elect Jason Smith will be sworn in for their terms exactly three business days after election results are certified.
Commissioner Shrouder and Commissioner-Elect Smith ran unopposed in the 2024 election.
When will results be certified?
Unofficial 2024 General Election results have been posted by the Broward Supervisor of Elections Office at: https://enr.electionsfl.org/BRO/3746/Summary/.
Certification of Official Election Results will be completed by the Canvassing Board by noon on Monday, November 18, 2024. Please see the Canvassing Board's published schedule: https://browardvotes.gov/sites/default/files/2024elections/canvassboard/canvassing-board-schedule-11052024.pdf.
