City Commission Approves Resolution 23-3, Supporting the 2023 JCC Maccabi Games & Access
City Commission approved Resolution 23-3 on Feb. 28, supporting the 2023 JCC Maccabi Games & Access. The games will be hosted by the David Posnack JCC, and will take place in August 6-11 at various locations in Broward County, including the Suellen H. Fardelmann Sports Complex.
Cooper City’s support of the JCC Maccabi Games & Access includes a fee waiver to use certain fields at Suellen H Faldermann. Former Cooper City Mayor Debby Elsinger, who is now a delegate for the JCC Maccabi Games, says this is their largest delegation.
The JCC Maccabi Games are an Olympic-style sporting competition held each summer in North America, and is the largest organized sports program for Jewish teenagers from around the world, ages 12-16. The sports competitions include baseball, basketball, dance, flag football, ice hockey, soccer, swimming, table tennis, tennis, star reporter, and volleyball.
