Run/Parade - Expect Road Closures from approximately 8:25 AM to 9:15 AM and 10:25 AM to 11:30 AM on SW 90th Avenue
 
Parking will be available at the Community Center, Cooper City Elementary and the American Legion

A full day of fun is on the horizon, as we celebrate our City's 66th annual Founder's Day on Saturday, March 8, 2025!  Events and activities will take place throughout the day. 

Individuals, groups, and organizations wishing to participate in the Founder's Day Parade & festivities through parade entries, sponsorships, and booths can complete the needed registration packet(s).  Links to download each packet are at the bottom of this page.

 


SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

MORNING

  • 8:30 AM - One-Mile Fun Run/Walk at Cooper City High School, 9401 Stirling Road
  • 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM - Pancake Breakfast at the Community Center, 9000 SW 50 Place (Sponsored by Boy Scout Troop #118) *Ticket sales at the door 
  • 10:30 AM - Founder's Day Parade: NOW That's What Cooper City Calls the 90s. Parade travels south one mile along Morris Cooper Avenue (SW 90th Ave.) from the Community Center to Cooper City High School 


PANCAKE BREAKFAST MENU - Sponsored by Boy Scout Troop #118

  • 2 Plain Pancakes and 1 Sausage - $5.00
  • 2 Plain Pancakes (Gluten Free) - $5.00
  • 2 Chocolate Chip Pancakes/1 Sausage - $6.00
  • All you can eat Pancakes (Plain) - $7.00
  • All you can eat Pancakes (Chocolate Chip) - $8.00
  • Family of 4 (Plain Pancakes) + $5 for Chocolate Chip Pancakes - $25.00
  • Additional Family Member - $5.00
  • Muffin (Blueberry, Chocolate Chip or Banana) - $2.00

*All afternoon events will take place at Brian Piccolo County Park located at 9501 Sheridan Street

(Weekend gate entrance fee is $3 per vehicle with 8 people or fewer and $20 per vehicle with 9 or more people)

  • 7:00 PM - Parade Float Winner is Announced
  • 8:30 PM - Fireworks Begin!
