Pole Hardening Project

FPL expanded this project, which includes a section of Stirling Road, to included replacing and setting 13 new concrete poles along SW 90th Avenue, from Stirling Road to SW 55th Street. FPL conducted the pole installations along SW 90th Avenue on March 24th and March 25th.

Project Information Related to Stirling Road:

• Work commenced on February 27, 2025.
• Wooden power poles are being replaced with new concrete poles and wire transfers along Stirling Road, between SW 90th Avenue and University Drive.
• This work requires the closure of one eastbound lane on Stirling Road during the day time to transfer wires and the closure of two eastbound lanes on Stirling Road, from SW 90th Avenue to S. Pine Island Road on Friday, March 28th and Saturday, March 29th during night hours between 9 PM and 5 AM to set poles.
