Cooper City's Human Resources Department is committed to strategically supporting City departments on personnel matters and precautionary measures.  Human Resources identifies and responds to legislative changes and provides leadership and guidance in the development, implementation, and administration of policies and procedures.  The City of Cooper City, as a whole, fosters a safe and positive work environment, reduces liability to its citizens, and provides exemplary customer service.
 
As part of the administration of Cooper City, this department is also responsible for coordinating employee benefits with various providers.  As Risk Management, the department is responsible for insuring the City against potential loss and liability, including all City parks and buildings and for liability claims.
