Municipal Election 2020
The Municipal Election of 2020 occured on November 3, 2020. Districts 3 and 4 Commission Seats, as well as the Mayoral Seat, were up for election.
Congratulations to Commissioner Ryan Shrouder who won the District 4 Commission Seat, to Commissioner Jeff Green who was re-elected to his District 3 Commission Seat, and to Mayor Greg Ross to his re-election.
Candidate qualifying for these districts occured from Noon, Monday, June 8, 2020, through Noon, Friday, June 12, 2020.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the State of Emergency that the City and State are currently under, the city clerk's office is able to accept qualifying papers via email to ksims@coopercityfl.org. The qualifying period remains the same. All emailed documents must be transmitted in .pdf format. Additionally, the check for qualifying fees written from your campaign account must be received by the City Clerk (by mail/delivery service/dropped off) by noon on June 12, 2020.

- A check, drawn on campaign account, payable to City of Cooper City for $220 for City Commission (qualifying fee of $100 and election assessment fee of 1% of $12,000 annual salary) and $244 for Mayoral candidates (qualifying fee of $100 and election assessment fee of 1% of 14,400 annual salary)
